One thing I didn’t see much though was what I consider a very important topic: Sustainability. It seems like it continues to not be a priority for NRF and US retailers in general which is quite sad. If not for the obvious environmental reasons, maybe losing customers could be a good drive to be more sustainable. According to the same Capgemini’s report that I mentioned earlier, 67% of consumers say that the reason they switched retailers was their lack of sustainability.
